2017 Street Project Open House Scheduled July 11th - Project to begin July 17 (weather permitting)

An Open House for the 2017 Street Project has been scheduled for July 11th from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2348 S, Brentwood Blvd. A representative from West Contracting will be in attendance to provide additional information about the project process and schedule and to answer any questions you may have, with a project start date of July 17th, weather permitting.

West Contracting has been awarded the contract to provide street mill and overlay services at 25 streets (per attachment) as well as provide removal and replacement of pavement at the south entrance into the Brentwood Promenade.  Work on these projects is anticipated to commence around July 17, 2017 and all projects completed by August 31, 2017, weather permitting.  The asphalt restoration projects consist of grinding or milling the top two-inch layer of asphalt pavement and then applying or overlaying with a two-inch layer of new asphalt material.  After fresh asphalt is installed, access to the street and impacted driveways will be prohibited for several hours to allow the asphalt material to cool and harden properly.

At times, crews will place “No Parking” signs along the effected work zones during the mill and overlay construction hours.  Advanced notification will be provided on the City’s website at www.brentwoodmo.org and to the respective residents in the work zones.

The City of Brentwood would like to apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause you.  If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact Daniel Gummersheimer, Director of Public Works at (314) 963-8642.

Please see the attached for a list of streets included in this years project. (Streets are not listed in the order of completion.)
