MSD Project Clear Update – January 11, 2018

Work anticipated in the next three weeks on Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District’s Project Clear in Brentwood:

  • Sewer pipe installation will continue along Russell Avenue between Collier and Hilldale. It is anticipated that Russell will reopen to traffic between Brentwood and Collier in January if weather is warm enough to install asphalt pavement. Russell will be closed between Collier and Hilldale for approximately two months for pipe installation. Periodic blasting may occur to aid in the removal of rock for installation of the sewer pipe.
  • Work will continue in Brentwood Park consisting of installation of the 30-inch sewer in the park and a cast-in-place concrete structure within the park, with work scheduled to be complete in late February.
  • A cast-in-place concrete structure is being constructed on Russell Avenue near the entrance to Brentwood Park. Construction is anticipated to be complete in February, and the road will be temporarily repaved to accept traffic.
  • The repair of asphalt pavement on Mary Avenue and Suburban Tracks will continue if temperatures above 40 degrees F occur for long enough periods to install the asphalt material.
  • Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel Black Creek site (South of Midwest Flooring): Site clearing, temporary fencing, erosion control device and temporary road installation will continue through January.
