Strassner Drive Closure – Continuing the Week of September 16

Street Closure

Update (September 13): The section of Strassner Drive that is closed for repairs to a major sanitary sewer line will remain closed for several more days. New concrete and asphalt installation work is scheduled for the week of September 16. The roadway will reopen the week of September 16 as soon as the construction crew confirms all restoration work is complete.

SAK Contractors and Bates Utility Company, under contract by Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD), will be making repairs to a major sanitary sewer line located under Strassner Drive. No interruption to sewer service is expected. However, the repair work will require the closure of a section of Strassner Drive between the intersections of Urban Drive and Hanley Industrial Court for approximately one week. Work is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 9. During construction, the west entrance to the YMCA will remain open. The east entrance to the YMCA will be closed. Vehicular and pedestrian access to Memorial Park will continue during construction.
