General Programming
Youth General Programs
Brentwood Parks and Recreation offers a variety of youth general programs throughout the year. Each season brings new, exciting programs mixed with returning favorites. Whether they want to learn a new hobby with our Photography program, or dive deeper into a current hobby with our Book it to Nature and Star Gazing programs, your children will be sure to find the perfect program to spark their creativity!

Check back each season as a new group of programs will be introduced.

 Parents Night Out Parents' Night Out

Treat yourself to a night out and leave your kids with us! Crafts, games, ice skating, and a light snack will be provided. Each month will have a new theme for the evening. Join us in January for Winter themed evening!

Created by Zumba and BabyFirst, Zumbini® programs, combine music, dance and educational tools. This 45 minute program designed for ages 0-4 provides can't-stop, won't-stop bonding, learning and fun!

book it to nature Book it to Nature: Color Walk
Saturdays, April 28
9:30-10:30 a.m.

Join us as the Brentwood Public Library will read us a book involving the color in the world around us. As we hike the trails, we will take a closer look at the rainbow of colors in nature. After the hike, a small craft will be hosted.

 APA Doggy Day with the APA

12-1 p.m.

Stop by the park to play with some of the dogs up for adoption at Missouri APA Adoption Center. Playing with the dogs helps release their energy, which means they will be well behaved at the adoption center, and get adopted quickly! No outside pets allowed.

Cool down this summer with science. Join us for some fin in the sun outdoor experiments. This event will explore chemical reactions in a fun, hands-on experience. Wear clothes that can get messy!

 Chess Flyer Chess Wizards
Monday - Friday, June 11-15
9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Chess Wizards will reach children many important life concepts, such as learning the ability to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups based on their chess experience and at the end of the week, they will participate in a mini-chess tournament.

Walk on stilts! Ride a clown bicycle! Balance on a rolla bolla board! You'll learn juggling, plate spinning, clown acts, animal balloons, and more! Camp culminates with a performance for family and friends!

 minecraft Minecraft Engineering with LEGO Material
Monday - Friday, July 9-13
Ages 5-7, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Ages 8-12, 1-4 p.m.
Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO parts! Build engineer designed projects, including a motorized Creeper. Whether you are new to Minecraft and LEGO materials or a veteran, you'll be hooked on the endless creative possibilities.

Monday - Friday, July 16-20
9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Take a journey to the farthest reaches of the imagination while learning about the rain forest, Hollywood, Mars, and futuristic city! Use the design thinking process to solve real-world problems in these different environments. Experiment with Crayola products and a wide variety of art techniques like sculpting, collage, and mixed media. Discover design careers like graphic design, and architectural and urban design.
