The City of Brentwood maintains an up-to-date inventory of all publicly-owned trees within city limits. The inventory was built by Davey Resource Group using their Tree Keeper Software. This was completely updated in May 2017 and is now available to view online.
Over 2500 trees are inventoried and there are several hundred more in public natural areas including those found in Memorial Park, Hanley Park and Oak Tree Park. Brentwood Forestry’s long-term planting goal is to fill all of the vacant sites shown on the inventory with the best-suited species and maintain existing trees to the highest standards possible.
Residents can use the Tree Inventory to identify the publicly-owned trees. The toolbar on the left of the map can be used to search:
- Particular Sites
- Specific Tree Species
- Ecological and Economic Benefits
- Gold Medal Trees*
*Gold Medal Trees can be seen by using the "Layers" tab. These trees are the top 8% of the City’s most beneficial trees.
