NOTICE OF SPECIAL HOUSING VIOLATIONS COURT DOCKET ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 8, 2020 at 3:30 P.M.
For the safety of staff and participants during the COVID-19 pandemic, Brentwood Municipal Court is holding a Special Housing Violation Docket on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 3:30 pm via Zoom video conferencing. All defendants were mailed instructions on appearing via Zoom along with “Your Rights in Municipal Court”. Instructions for the public to view or listen in on the court docket will be posted on the doors of City Hall on the court date, however, no one will be permitted to appear in person until further notice.
Effective June 1, 2020, Brentwood City Hall has reopened by appointment only. The court dockets of March 23, April 13, April 27, May 11, June 8, June 22 and July 13 have been postponed. A new court date summons will be mailed in the future to the address we have on file. Should you have any questions or concerns, please call the court office at 963.8623, leave your name and message, and staff will return your call as soon as possible during regular office hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday; or contact staff by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
For warrant and bond information after hours, please call the Brentwood Police Department, 314.645.3000. If you are an attorney, all court filings are being accepted by e-filing, mail, or fax. If you are an attorney and requesting a warrant recall for your client, please file accordingly but also email the court administrator at email@example.com for prompt attention to your request.
If your address is not up to date with the Court, please call or email the court as soon as possible.
Payment of fines and costs are still being accepted online or by mail. To pay by phone, please leave a message and staff will return your call as soon as possible.

On July 22, 2019, Brentwood Municipal Division Court transitioned to the State of Missouri’s Show-Me Courts Docketing Software as mandated by the Presiding Judge of St. Louis County. The court will be operating out of two court docketing software programs for a period of time. Please contact the clerks of the court if you have any questions, concerns or trouble locating your citation online. We appreciate your patience during this transition.
Brentwood Municipal Division Court
The municipal court is a division of the 21st Circuit Court of St. Louis County. The presiding judge is the Honorable Patrick D. Dignam. Court is held on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:00 pm. and defendants are called by order of sign-in. The Prosecuting Attorney is Michael Shelton and Attorney Call is at 6:00 pm. If this will be your first appearance in court, you may request a continuance by telephone. Please contact the court staff no later than 3:00 pm. on your court date. Only one continuance by telephone is permitted and only on your first appearance.
Brentwood Municipal Division Court’s Violations Bureau Hours
Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Payments accepted until 4:30 pm. On court days, the payment window is closed at 3:00 pm to prepare for court. The office is closed most holidays; please refer to the City’s calendar.
Uniform Schedule of Fines and Forms of Payment (effective 7/22/2019)
As ordered by the Judge, the State of Missouri Uniform Schedule of Fines (PDF) is a list of violations that are payable without a court appearance. A mandatory signed Plea of Guilty, Appearance and Waiver for Traffic Citations (PDF) form must be completed and returned along with your payment to close the case. A court appearance is necessary for a plea of not guilty. Court costs are assessed on each violation whether or not you appear in court, as mandated by the State of Missouri.
