Mayoral Call for Letters of Interest for Appointment of Ward IV Alderman Vacancy

One of the two Aldermen positions in Ward IV is open due to a recent resignation. The vacancy shall be filled by appointment of the Mayor with the advice and consent of a majority of the remaining members of the Board of Aldermen. The appointed Alderman shall serve for the remainder of the term, until the next regular municipal election, April 2021. The position is open until filled.

Interested candidates must submit a Letter of Interest to the address below.
Please include the following:

Describe your community volunteer experience

Describe previous service on a City Commission (if applicable)

Provide professional and employment background (may also include resume/bio)

State briefly why you wish to be considered for the Alderman position and what you would hope to accomplish if appointed

Explain any potential conflicts of interest
