[ARCHIVED] Sidewalk Improvement Project Update: July 2, 2020

Sidewalk Improvements

Brentwood’s Public Works Department is continuing the sidewalk repair work scheduled for 2020. The work will take place throughout Brentwood to improve sidewalks that are obsolete.

Most sidewalk replacement work involves a three-day or four-day process and includes removal of obsolete slabs, installation of concrete forms, pouring and finishing new concrete placed in concrete forms, concrete curing time, removing concrete forms, and backfilling/site restoration work.

Residents may notice utility markings and paint on the ground and roadways. The markings are part of the Missouri One Call notification process to notify utilities to provide their field markings so that any sidewalk excavation work can be completed safely around underground facilities.

Thank you for your patience during the sidewalk improvement work occurring in your neighborhood.

Tentative schedule for the next few weeks:

  • Week of July 6 at 2808 through 2816 Manderly Avenue
  • Week of July 13 at the 9000 block of Lawn Avenue
  • Week of July 20 at the 8800-8900 blocks of Moritz Avenue
