Work anticipated in the next three weeks on Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District’s Project Clear in Brentwood:
- Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel – The contractor will begin construction of the deaeration chamber in early December at the site at the corner of Brazeau and Suburban Tracks. This structure is located underground at the tunnel elevation, but the workers, equipment, and materials used to construct the structure will be lowered into the tunnel from a crane at the surface.
- Deer Creek Sanitary Tunnel – The contractor will complete installation of the cellular grout around the fiberglass sewer pipe in the adit tunnel located near Manchester and Breckenridge Industrial. The grout batch plant will be removed from the site in early December. The contractor continues installing the sheet pile excavation support systems for the Diversion Structure and Metering Manhole at this site. The contractor will begin excavating within the sheet pile support systems to construct the Diversion Structure and the Metering Manhole at this site.
