The Board of Aldermen has approved the establishment of a Sustainability Commission.

The Commission will seek to develop a city-wide coordinated effort to advance energy conservation, environmental improvement and sustainability of resources for Brentwood. The Commission is charged with identifying opportunities in these three areas and recommending policies promoting these goals to the Public Works Committee of the Board of Aldermen.

The Sustainability Commission will include five members to be appointed by the Mayor.

Interested Brentwood residents may complete a Volunteer Interest Form and return the completed form to Mayor David Dimmitt by end of day Thursday, Oct. 15.
