Brentwood’s Public Works Department is continuing the sidewalk repair work scheduled for 2020. The work will take place throughout Brentwood to improve sidewalks that are obsolete.
Most sidewalk replacement work involves a three-day or four-day process and includes removal of obsolete slabs, installation of concrete forms, pouring and finishing new concrete placed in concrete forms, concrete curing time, removing concrete forms, and backfilling/site restoration work.
Residents may notice utility markings and paint on the ground and roadways. The markings are part of the Missouri One Call notification process to notify utilities to provide their field markings so that any sidewalk excavation work can be completed safely around underground facilities.
Thank you for your patience during the sidewalk improvement work occurring in your neighborhood.
Schedule for the week of October 19: Staff plans to repair sidewalks at 9400, 9402, 9414, 9418, 9420, 9426 and 9432 Pine Avenue.
Following Pine Avenue completion, the next area of replacement work tentatively includes 2324 High School Drive, Eager Road between High School Drive and Oriole Place, and the ADA panel repairs at Swallow Drive and Wrenwood Lane.
