[ARCHIVED] Rosalie Avenue Construction Project Updates

Rosalie Projects

Multiple projects are scheduled along Rosalie Avenue between Brentwood Boulevard and Mary Avenue, including proposed sidewalk improvements with streetlights along the south side of the street.

Spire recently completed natural gas main work along the south side of Rosalie Avenue to remove conflicts with the proposed sidewalk/streetlight project. Spire completed the newly installed gas main and service line transfers on September 17, 2021. The other two projects are the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) project to improve sewer mains on Bridgeport Avenue, White Avenue and Rosalie Avenue (east of Brentwood Boulevard), and the City of Brentwood’s pedestrian improvements project.

MSD Sewer Main Project

MSD’s contractor, Fred Luth & Sons, has performed some initial field investigation work, including excavation of existing utilities to mitigate conflicts with the proposed gravity sewer mains. MSD will schedule an open house/public meeting prior to construction work to provide a project overview and contact information for MSD and MSD’s contractor representatives. Fred Luth & Sons anticipates the project will begin in early to mid-October 2021. For more information on this project, contact MSD’s Customer Service Center, 314.768.6260 and reference MSD Project #11212.

Sidewalk/Streetlight Improvements Project

The City of Brentwood met with representatives from Missouri Department of Transportation, Krupp Construction and others to discuss the schedule for the sidewalk/streetlight improvements project on the south side of Rosalie Avenue. Krupp Construction (the construction contractor for the sidewalk/streetlight improvements project) will submit its formal schedule with a proposed start date of Monday, September 27, 2021. The construction contract is limited to 90 calendar days, and work should be completed in fall 2021. Brentwood Public Works looks forward to the new infrastructure and planned progress on this municipal roadway. If you have any questions regarding this pedestrian project, please call the City of Brentwood, 314.962.4800.
