[ARCHIVED] MoDOT to close Manchester Road for Two Weekends in February

Street Closure

Drivers who use Route 100 (Manchester Road) in Brentwood on the weekend will need to find alternate routes as the Missouri Department of Transportation will close the roadway to through traffic for two weekends in early February.

During the closures, crews will be constructing a deep sanitary sewer one weekend, and a storm sewer the following weekend, weather permitting.

Crews will close both directions of Manchester between Hanley Road and South Brentwood Boulevard, starting at 9 pm Friday, February 4. The roadway is scheduled to reopen by 5 am Monday, February 7.

From Hanley, local traffic only will be able to go as far west on Manchester as Dorothy Avenue. From Brentwood Boulevard, local traffic only will be able to go as far east as Van Mark Way and Mary Avenue. Drivers on Mary will only be able to turn left (west) onto Manchester Road. No official detour route will be marked.

Crews are planning to also close both directions of Manchester Road between Hanley Road and South Brentwood Boulevard, starting at 9 pm Friday, February 11. The roadway is scheduled to reopen by 5 am Monday, February 14.

Overall, the department is making significant improvements to sidewalks along Route 100 between Big Bend and Lindbergh to bring them up to Americans with Disability Act requirements and will wrap up the project with resurfacing, in summer 2023.
