We wanted to share an update of what you might expect for the next month or so along the Manchester Road project between Big Bend and Lindbergh.
Crews continue to work on some utility items, including constructing the deep sanitary sewer near Van Mark Way and drainage work between Big Bend and Hanley.
In addition, contractor crews are working between Brentwood Boulevard and High School Drive on the south side and McKnight to Kortwright on both sides during the day to prepare for sidewalk work. They should be forming and placing concrete for sidewalks, curb and drainage between Hanley Road and Mary Avenue through the remainder of this week.
At this point, we are anticipating a full closure of Manchester near Dorothy the weekend of April 22. We are still working out the details on this closure, which was postponed twice in February. In addition, we are starting plans for this summer’s full closure of Manchester just west of Hanley, so we can replace the Black Creek bridge. We expect that closure to be start the first week of May and run until late August.
