St. Louis County Government’s Home Improvement Program is offering up to $5,000 for approved home repairs for eligible low- to moderate-income resident homeowners at no cost. Eligible repair items include furnace/air conditioning, roofing, plumbing, electrical, tuck-pointing, concrete/asphalt/masonry, hot water heater, insulation, hand rails, tree trimming/removal, and waterproofing/foundation work.
To be eligible: You must own and live in your home, your property taxes must be current, you cannot have participated in the program previously, and your household’s total income (the Adjusted Gross Income listed on your 2021 Federal Income Tax return OR the Total Household Income on the 2021 Missouri Property Tax Credit claim) must be within the following current income limits for this program:
Family of 1: Less than $53,150
Family of 2: Less than $60,750
Family of 3: Less than $68,350
Family of 4: Less than $75,900
Family of 5: Less than $82,000
Family of 6: Less than $88,050
Family of 7: Less than $94,150
Family of 8: Less than $100,200
The Home Improvement Program is a federally funded program operated through St. Louis County Government’s Department of Human Services.
